We recently took a trip up through the Sierra's and then across to San Francisco staying with Dick Duquette and his lovely wife. We had a very enjoyable experience with them and they even fed us dinner and breakfast and gave us a guided tour of the local coastline the next morning too. I highly recommend this great couple.

We enjoyed having Francois stay with us overnight in our sometimes busy home, He was pleasant and we enjoyed his visit, stories, and pictures from his travels.
The next morning I had the pleasure of leading him on a back road tour through the mountains and Ortega highway to San Juan Capistrano where he headed north up the coast as I headed back south to Oceanside.

Our first MTN guests
After several long hard days of riding, camping, and hiking in the Sierras, Ray and his daughter Heather showed up at our house cold, tired, hungry, an a little dusty. I had talked to Ray earlier and told him we would have a BBQ dinner when they arrived. After a hot shower and a change of clothes their road weariness quickly changed to smiles. We had a great dinner followed by some nice conversation. Both quickly started nodding off so off to bed they went. After breakfast the next morning, Wanda and I climbed on our bike and led them on a tour of the Monterey and Carmel area. We parted ways in Carmel where they headed south on the coast highway (HWY 1) and we headed home. I believe it was a great experience for all of us and I would do it again.

Francois visited us from Quebec City, Canada on his trip from California back to Quebec. He stayed two nights and toured Hearst Castle and some Pacific Coast remote paved and dirt roads on his R1150GS. We had a great visit.

We recently completed a 3300 mile trip on our GL1800. Our last night was spent with MTN hosts near Allentown, PA. They were terrific hosts. They even tried to give us back the $20 gratuity. Looks like we will be hosts again next week. We love sharing those great stories.

We just hosted our first guests from MTN... Chuck and Kathy from Albany, NY. All went well, we even lead the way on a ride halfway to their next destination yesterday.
